Amma Teri+ (she/her) is a professed member and ordained priest of the Lindisfarne Community. She was drawn to the Lindisfarne Community because of its inclusive welcome and Celtic spirit. Teri+ is a Spiritual Director and Chaplain. She obtained her graduate certificate in spiritual direction from Moravian University; and her board certification as a clinical chaplain, pastoral counselor, and clinical fellow in hospice and palliative care through the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy. She is also an attorney, a retired Army officer, and a grandmother. She enjoys writing and has contributed meditations and prayers to several Episcopal publications. She holds a J.D. from The Catholic University of America, a B.S. from The University of Maryland, and a D.Min. and M.Div. from Global Ministries University, where she currently serves as a member of the faculty. She and her spouse, Kathleen, an Episcopal deacon, share a home in Virginia with family, pets, and a pair of adopted donkeys. They experience hiking as a form of pilgrimage, and once walked St. Cuthbert’s Way from Melrose Scotland to the Holy Isle of Lindisfarne. In retrospect, Teri+ sees that pilgrimage as a waypoint on the spiritual journey that eventually led her to the Lindisfarne Community.
