Rev. Jess Easter identifies as a “neo-monk priest” and serves as a chaplain in San Francisco, California. She is a member of the Religious Society of Friends (Quaker) and an ordained and professed member of the Lindisfarne Community. She received her M.Div degree from Earlham School of Religion and B.S. degree in Media and Cinema Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is a board certified chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains. When she is not baptizing babies, she plays the ukulele, meditates on the transformative and paradoxical nature of the Divine, and contemplates on how the African diasporic proverb of Sankofa connects to the Celtic idea of the Holy Spirit as a Wild Goose.
