Fr. Timothy Jones


Father Timothy+ Bruce Allen Jones hales from Canton, Ohio. He is a graduate of Glenwood High School (1971), the Cincinnati Bible Seminary (now Cincinnati Christian University - 1977, B.S. in English Bible), and Lexington Theological Seminary (1990, M.Div). Father Timothy+ completed 23 hours of doctoral work at Ashland Theological Seminary, Ashland, Ohio,  which included a ministry project on the importance of visual arts in ministry. He also earned a three year graduate level diploma in Orthodox Christian Studies from the Antiochian House of Studies in August of 2003. 


Father Timothy was ordained to the Christian ministry on 9 May 1976 at Perry Christian Church in Canton. In his thirty-eight years of Christian ministry he has served as minister in the Christian Church (independent) and Disciples of Christ, pastor/elder in the United Methodist Church, ordained deacon in the Orthodox Church in America (OCA), and as deacon and priest in the Lindisfarne Community. He was set apart as a professed monastic and ordained priest with the Lindisfarne Community on 16 June 2013. 

In addition to his years in parish ministry, Father Timothy contributed in both secondary and higher education settings and completed five units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), which included a one year chaplain residency at Meriter Hospital, Madison, Wisconsin. Since August 2009 he has served as a chaplain and counselor at Agrace HospiceCare in Madison.

Father Timothy enjoys reading, studying, hiking, being out in nature, running, and, most of all, spending time with his beloved wife Beatrice, who is also a professed monastic with the Lindisfarne Community. Beatrice and Timothy are parents of three children and grandparents to four children. Father Timothy+ and Beatrice reside in Madison, Wisconsin
