Fr. Timothy Jones


Father Timothy Bruce Allen Jones has been serving as an ordained minister of Christ for over four decades, having first been ordained at Perry Christian Church in Canton, Ohio. His spiritual journey has led him to serve as clergy with the Christian Church (Independent and the Disciples of Christ), The United Methodist Church, the Eastern Orthodox Church, and the Lindisfarne Community, where he is a professed monastic member of the Community, ordained priest, and appointed Prior of St Cuthbert's Chapel (a priory of the Lindisfarne Community) in Madison, Wisconsin. 

St Cuthbert's Chapel welcomes all who may be interested in participating in the Chapel's ministry of worship and prayer. Holy Eucharist is celebrated on Sundays and on special feast days throughout the liturgical year. 

Prior Timothy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in English Bible from the Cincinnati Bible College (now Cincinnati Christian University) in Cincinnati, Ohio; a Master of Divinity degree from Lexington Theological Seminary in Lexington, Kentucky; and a three-year, graduate-level diploma in Eastern Orthodox Studies from the Antiochian House of Studies. He also did doctoral work at Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, Ohio, completing all but the dissertation in the Doctor of Ministry program. 

Father Timothy earned five units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), which included a one-year residency at Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. He is a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) with the National Association of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NACDP) and is a Certified Thanatologist (CT) with the Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC). Father Timothy lives out his daily ministry as a chaplain/spiritual and grief counselor with Agrace Hospice and Palliative Care in Madison, Wisconsin. 

Prior Timothy is married to his wife Beatrice, who is also a professed monastic member of the Lindisfarne Community and ordained deacon. Together, they have three children and four grandchildren. Activities that Father Timothy enjoys includes exercising, walking, hiking, swimming, being out in nature, reading history, and watching British and Australian TV shows.
